This Regional Museum, opened in 1983, was the home of the Braun – Menendez Family whose members, with generosity and gratitude, donated it to the City of Punta Arenas and the people of this land.
Today, the building contains three different exhibitions; The House as it was in early 1900 as a museum, where the main section of the house is preserver with its original decoration, an historic one, which covers the period between 1520 an 1920 of Regional History and the basement where you can visit the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, boiler, wine cellar, water purifier and temporary exhibition halls of those early days.
